Nibiru aka Planet X

Way out beyond Pluto in an area called the Kuiper Belt, there is a mysterious planet. It is called Nibiru. It was Planet X for a long time. It had been speculated that some kind of large planet must exist because something was playing havoc with some of the planets in our solar system. It graduated from Planet X to Nibiru when it was actually discovered. It needed a name. And it turned out that conveniently some new age people and some quasi scientists already had a great name for it. And they also knew that its path was a huge oval. Not round like our earth's path. And they knew that every 3,600 years (approximately) the planet would come very close to earth. That is going to happen in 2012.

Since the ancient Maya also knew something really big would happen in 2012, it's all pretty convincing. Turns out that when Nibiru comes that close to earth it will throw off earth's magnetic field. The poles will switch position. They might switch all the way and the South Pole will become the North Pole and vice versa. Or they might just change a bit. But either way it will cause massive tidal waves and earthquakes. Everyone who wants to survive (I personally haven't decided yet) should move to high ground away from the oceans. It's best to live in a cave. But don't live in a cave that is too low or the icky poisonous chemicals will kill you. Poisonous chemicals will be given off by all the catastrophes going on. This will all happen over a period of a couple days.

The earth will actually STOP spinning. I always thought that would make all the people fall off. But, no, I guess we just wait .... wait for it to start spinning again. And then take cover in a cave. And don't panic whatever you do. Don't panic because you will need all your mental faculties to survive. The same magnetic chaos that causes the pole shift will also cause our brains to disorient. It will be difficult to think straight.

Sometimes it already is difficult to think straight.

Or maybe I dreamed that - I was reading a lot about 2012 and I dozed off - but I think I read something sort of like that on the internet so it must be true.
